One thing to consider regarding the ObamaCare package once again being re-created behind closed doors: if the government gets control of "health care" for the people, you can bet they will begin to legislate what we eat (for our own good), what we drive (for our own good), how we keep our homes (for our own good), whether we have guns in our homes (for our own good), what kind of "inciting, hate-mongering" material we allow our children to read (for example, the Bible) - all for our own good. The new KGB will have full rights to inspect our homes for all sorts of health violations. (DHS can already do this if they get an "anonymous tip" that children are not being cared for properly in any imaginable way.)
Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, John Adams, and my own great-grandpa Patrick Henry would have been appalled by this attempt to return us to a king and peasant system - in fact, they risked all they had and went to war to get us free from this very sort of mess.
We must stop this attempt to strip us and our children and grand-children of our "endowed by our Creator, inalienable rights" of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. No, that's not silly old-fashioned over-dramaticization - it's what this country was founded on.
Have we given up the idea?
