Dixie is Gaining Ground!

Now, if you consider that the red (Conservative/Republican) states, which mostly consist of the former nation of the CSA, and the red states voted against the current socialist government administration, you'll see some interesting facts.

Not only are we, the states that made up the CSA still together - except for North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida - but we've also added several states and much more land. Kentucky, West Virginia, and Kansas have come over to our side. Plus we've added the "new" states of Idaho, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota, and Nebraska.

In other words (as well as in pictures) - We're winning! We are gaining followers in our ideals of common sense, morality, respect for tradition, and desire for a reasonable government that serves, rather than controls, the people.

Is it time to begin reintroducing the idea of a separate, independent nation? What do you think?

Pres' Dog Gets Private Jet Ride

It's bad enough (and it's pretty darned bad!) that Pres. Obama is on a THIRD vacation since the Gulf oil spill disaster, but it gets even worse. (At least I think it's worse; Obama's fans probably think it's cool and fun!)

Just read this clip from The Morning Sentinel in Waterville, ME:
Arriving in a small jet before the Obamas was the first dog, Bo, a Portuguese water dog given as a present by the late U.S. Sen Ted Kennedy, D-Mass.; and the president's personal aide Reggie Love, who chatted with [Maine governor, John] Baldacci.
Yes, the president took his dog. And. The dog got its own private jet. Yep. And guess who paid for it? The same folks he was referring to when he told George Stephanopoulos that, "everybody in the country is going to have to sacrifice something, accept change for the greater good."

Does he honestly have no clue? Could anyone be that patently blind to the effect of their actions? Is he blind or does he just not give a bloody dam? At some point he must have either said, "Well, just put the dog in another plane," or "Hey, where's Bo?" Wouldn't he have either directed or OK'd the added taxpayer expense of an extra plane for the DOG???

Here is a man who is either so dumb he can't keep track of his own family, or a man who thinks his family, his dog, is deserving of outlandishly more privileges than the American public he swore to serve. Again, I'm sure his fans think there's absolutely nothing wrong with so many vacations at our expense. And those same dupes think it's just adorable that he flies his doggy in its own private jet.

But, then there are the rest of us. You know, us "ignorant,angry, deluded, racist, bigots" as a LibDem space-minded friend recently labeled us. Well, I got news for you pard, If this was any other politician who had just called for belt tightening and then pulled a stunt like this bozo (a WHITE clown reference, BTW), us "ignorant bigots" would be just as pissed off!

Obama is so far out of touch with the American citizens it's beginning to be obvious even to the "intellectuals" who elected him. But then, why shouldn't he be out of touch with us. He has no background to draw from. He was not raised as a typical African-American. He was not raised in the states, like a typical Euro-American. (Remember, he's half of both, which SHOULD give him even more insight to our culture.) He has no clue what Americans think, want, prefer, or value.

CA to AZ ... Pot Calling Kettle Racist?

Sometimes research is just too much fun. Like when you find out that the biggest blowhard on the playground is really just a loud mouthed hypocrite!

Following up on a tip that sounded just too good to be true, I just did a search for a particular California law (included below) which paints their boycott of Arizona's law to cut down on illegal immigrants within their borders. And, boy, did I hit pay dirt!

Just to refresh your memory, The Arizona law, set to take effect July 29, directs officers to question people about their immigration status during the enforcement of other laws such as traffic stops if there is a reasonable suspicion they're in the U.S. illegally. Nothing wrong with that, until "some people" get their backs up about hurting someone's feelings by asking about their residency. The "some people" I refer to includes, among many others, the City of Los Angeles an the State of California.

Now, here's the fun part: That same California, it turns out, has on their own law books a law that directs their law enforcement officers to DO THE EXACT SAME THING! That's right, the idiots who have been shouting the loudest that Arizona's law equals racial profiling already have the same law in place for themselves!

You can't make this stuff up, friends. As proof, let me present exhibit one, California's own law: (found at http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/cacode/PEN/3/2/3/5/s834b)

CAL. PEN. CODE § 834b : California Code - Section 834b

(a)Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.

(b)With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:

(1)Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.

(2)Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States.

(3)Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity.

(c)Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.

Oh, please, stop me from laughing! I can't breathe! It's just TOO good!

So, shall we expect a federal lawsuit against California's profiling law any time soon?

What If George W. Had ...

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a TelePrompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the nonexistent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had stated that there were 57 states in the United States, would you have said that he is clueless.

If George W. Bush would have flown all the way to Denmark to make a five minute speech about how the Olympics would benefit him walking out his front door in Texas, would you have thought he was a self important, conceited, egotistical jerk.

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had misspelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoes as proof of what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had not provided a birth certificate before he was elected, what would you have said? Would you have voted for him?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in the first 15 months of office – just think what the next year and a half will bring.

I (Too) Am Tired of All This

This comes, respectfully borrowed, from the personal blog of Robert A. Hall, a Marine Vietnam veteran who served five terms in the Massachusetts State Senate.

I'm sorry I didn't write it myself; and I agree with everything he says. Except my age.

I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.

I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe, the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.

I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need.

I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement- handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois , where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet.

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

Congress Hard At Work

This is one of their THREE DAY WORK WEEKS that we all pay for. I am ready to start from the beginning by voting out all elected officials and not letting any of them stay in office for more than two terms. No more lifelong healthcare, retirement, voting in their own pay raises, taking perks on our taxes, etc.

545 PEOPLE

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

1) Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits,

WHY do we have deficits?

2) Have you ever wondered; if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes,

WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

3) You and I don't propose a federal budget.

The president does.

4) You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations.

The House of Representatives does.

5) You and I don't write the tax code,

Congress does.

6) You and I don't set fiscal policy,

Congress does.

7) You and I don't control monetary policy,

the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy", "inflation", or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people and they alone, are responsible.

They and they alone, have the power.

They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Journalism Takes another Hit

It is becoming clear that the American media is biased, prejudiced, and, therefore, worthless for reporting the news. Which is a really sad fact to digest. One of the things that has set our country aside from others has been our freedom of the press to report the actions of our government. This has allowed us to keep an eye on how our elected officials are behaving or misbehaving.

However, the American people have lost our "third estate" since the media has swung into full support of the Democrat party in general and specifically president Obama. Their pandering during the election was embarrassing, and they have done little to correct their faults since getting their candidate elected.

In fact, they have embarrassed themselves even further as they have had to blatantly ignore their president's gaffs, lies, and failures. The latest example of their unprofessional bias, though, is truly amazing.

To see formerly respected media gleefully attacking a non-elected spokes person because she used speech notes, while excusing their president's constant use of expensive (tax-payer-sponsored) teleprompters is ... well it's just stupid on their part. They have blindly defended their candidate's need for technological assistance to keep from making fools of himself and his media fans, yet when Sarah Palin used a common speech prompt - writing point notes on her hand, they attacked and called her everything from incompetent to dishonest.

The American media has apparently run out of legitimate issues to report, such as the economic mess their president has only made much worse, or his efforts to socialize corporations and the banking industries. Their fear of competition for their political machine is so obvious they must not fear the American public's ridicule or judgment.

Shame on you. Bad journalists, bad, bad journalists!
