Nobel Prize Flop

In an announcement that has stunned everyone, the Norwegian Nobel Prize Committee has named for their 2009 Peace Prize winner President B. Hussein Obama. No one saw that coming - although we should have, based on their earlier selections for the dubious honor.

One commenter to the USA Today story said:
What A Joke He has not done enough to stand with past winners such as Nelson Mandela, Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr. or groups like Amnesty Int.
and that is true enough. In his nine months in office Obama has primarily excelled in division of America's two political parties and greater unrest among the American people (whose servant he is supposed to be). He has also managed to break his primary campaign directive: total transparency. Numerous and repeated requests for several critical pieces of defining information regarding his shady past have been ignored or blatantly refused. Among these items are college transcripts, legislative papers, and - of all things to want to conceal - his birth certificate.

Yet the Nobel Prize folks consider this guy the number one peacemaker of the year. His peacemongering efforts to date appear to be apologizing for America's past work in the world. Granted, the darker side of the world loves him as he pontificates that America is no longer a Christian nation, but rather a Muslim nation, but his own constituents (a foreign word to a foreign-born person with extremely scant political experience) disagree with his opinions loudly and often.

But Look At Their Record

But the Committee's choice doesn't seem too surprising when you look back at their past choices. In 2007 they awarded the Peace Prize to (Democratic presidential nominee) Al Gore for his globull warming alarmist ideas, most of which have been disproven by the legitimate scientific community. The only other American politician given the award was given in 2002 to former President Jimmy Carter ... also a Democrat.

Is there a discernible pattern there?

Clearly the Nobel Prize Committee is trying to make a political statement which has nothing to do with Obama's hypothetical work. Which is really sad when you consider that the program was begun on such ... well noble principles. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I'd suspect international, perhaps spiritual manipulation at work to place this shady character in an even stronger worldwide position to implement nefarious deeds.

Good thing I'm not paranoid.
I'm just realistic. The Committee messed up - again.

This is a comment from The Times, a European newspaper:

Let’s see…..Carter got it for LEAVING the Americans hostage in Iran; Arafat got it for killing the Jews…..now Obama gets it for placing the Jews at odds with Iran AND for leaving OUR troops lacking in support.

He kisses up to Chavez and the Honduran dictator who was OUSTED by his own government. Make sense???? Nope, but the Norwegians have lost their ability to make sense ever since they saw Carter as something other than an idiot! Obama has done NOTHING except ruin the American and the World economy. Bush and Reagan were far and above MEN of Character and Honor. This is a farce and a joke!

PS / HIS BROTHER STILL LIVES IN A FRIGIN' HUT!"
