Dixie is Gaining Ground!

Here are the states which chose to secede from the United States government in 1861:

... And here is a map of today's breakdown of Conservative/Republican states versus Liberal/Democrat states:

Now, if you consider that the red (Conservative/Republican) states, which mostly consist of the former nation of the CSA, and the red states voted against the current socialist government administration, you'll see some interesting facts.

Not only are we, the states that made up the CSA still together - except for North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida - but we've also added several states and much more land. Kentucky, West Virginia, and Kansas have come over to our side. Plus we've added the "new" states of Idaho, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota, and Nebraska.

In other words (as well as in pictures) - We're winning! We are gaining followers in our ideals of common sense, morality, respect for tradition, and desire for a reasonable government that serves, rather than controls, the people.

Is it time to begin reintroducing the idea of a separate, independent nation? What do you think?

Obama Excesses II

If you're not sure what "big government" implies, take a look at this . ...

But you have already read about this in your local newspaper ...
Oh no, you didn't? OK then, you saw it on CNN... No?... INTERESTING!!!
You and I may never see health care again the way it used to be, but "Emperor Obama"
took six (6) doctors with him for a 3 day visit to London - along with 494 other essential staff.

You just gotta love this spread-the-wealth, hopey-changey thing ....

Pres' Dog Gets Private Jet Ride

It's bad enough (and it's pretty darned bad!) that Pres. Obama is on a THIRD vacation since the Gulf oil spill disaster, but it gets even worse. (At least I think it's worse; Obama's fans probably think it's cool and fun!)

Just read this clip from The Morning Sentinel in Waterville, ME:
Arriving in a small jet before the Obamas was the first dog, Bo, a Portuguese water dog given as a present by the late U.S. Sen Ted Kennedy, D-Mass.; and the president's personal aide Reggie Love, who chatted with [Maine governor, John] Baldacci.
Yes, the president took his dog. And. The dog got its own private jet. Yep. And guess who paid for it? The same folks he was referring to when he told George Stephanopoulos that, "everybody in the country is going to have to sacrifice something, accept change for the greater good."

Does he honestly have no clue? Could anyone be that patently blind to the effect of their actions? Is he blind or does he just not give a bloody dam? At some point he must have either said, "Well, just put the dog in another plane," or "Hey, where's Bo?" Wouldn't he have either directed or OK'd the added taxpayer expense of an extra plane for the DOG???

Here is a man who is either so dumb he can't keep track of his own family, or a man who thinks his family, his dog, is deserving of outlandishly more privileges than the American public he swore to serve. Again, I'm sure his fans think there's absolutely nothing wrong with so many vacations at our expense. And those same dupes think it's just adorable that he flies his doggy in its own private jet.

But, then there are the rest of us. You know, us "ignorant, angry, deluded, racist, bigots" as a LibDem space-minded friend recently labeled us. Well, I got news for you pard, If this was any other politician who had just called for belt tightening and then pulled a stunt like this bozo (a WHITE clown reference, BTW), us "ignorant bigots" would be just as pissed off!

Obama is so far out of touch with the American citizens it's beginning to be obvious even to the "intellectuals" who elected him. But then, why shouldn't he be out of touch with us. He has no background to draw from. He was not raised as a typical African-American. He was not raised in the states, like a typical Euro-American. (Remember, he's half of both, which SHOULD give him even more insight to our culture.) He has no clue what Americans think, want, prefer, or value.

CA to AZ ... Pot Calling Kettle Racist?

Sometimes research is just too much fun. Like when you find out that the biggest blowhard on the playground is really just a loud mouthed hypocrite!

Following up on a tip that sounded just too good to be true, I just did a search for a particular California law (included below) which paints their boycott of Arizona's law to cut down on illegal immigrants within their borders. And, boy, did I hit pay dirt!

Just to refresh your memory, The Arizona law, set to take effect July 29, directs officers to question people about their immigration status during the enforcement of other laws such as traffic stops if there is a reasonable suspicion they're in the U.S. illegally. Nothing wrong with that, until "some people" get their backs up about hurting someone's feelings by asking about their residency. The "some people" I refer to includes, among many others, the City of Los Angeles an the State of California.

Now, here's the fun part: That same California, it turns out, has on their own law books a law that directs their law enforcement officers to DO THE EXACT SAME THING! That's right, the idiots who have been shouting the loudest that Arizona's law equals racial profiling already have the same law in place for themselves!

You can't make this stuff up, friends. As proof, let me present exhibit one, California's own law: (found at http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/cacode/PEN/3/2/3/5/s834b)

CAL. PEN. CODE § 834b : California Code - Section 834b

(a)Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.

(b)With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:

(1)Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.

(2)Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States.

(3)Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity.

(c)Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.

Oh, please, stop me from laughing! I can't breathe! It's just TOO good!

So, shall we expect a federal lawsuit against California's profiling law any time soon?

Giddily yours,

I (Too) Am Tired of All This

This comes, respectfully borrowed, from the personal blog of Robert A. Hall, a Marine Vietnam veteran who served five terms in the Massachusetts State Senate.

I'm sorry I didn't write it myself; and I agree with everything he says. Except my age.

I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.

I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe, the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.

I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need.

I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement- handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois , where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet.

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

Congress Hard At Work

This is one of their THREE DAY WORK WEEKS that we all pay for. I am ready to start from the beginning by voting out all elected officials and not letting any of them stay in office for more than two terms. No more lifelong healthcare, retirement, voting in their own pay raises, taking perks on our taxes, etc.

House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr. , R-Norwalk, pictured standing, far right, speaks while colleagues Rep. Barbara Lambert, D-Milford and Rep. Jack F. Hennessy, D-Bridgeport, play solitaire Monday night as the House convened to vote on a new budget. (AP)

The guy sitting in the row in front of these two.... he's on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores.

These are the folks that couldn't get the budget out by Oct. 1, and are about to control your health care, cap and trade, and the list goes on....

KEEP THIS GOING, DON'T LET IT STOP WITH YOU! CONSIDER VOTING ALL INCUMBENTS OUT NEXT NOVEMBER

545 PEOPLE By Charlie Reese

545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

1) Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits,

WHY do we have deficits?

2) Have you ever wondered; if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes,

WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

3) You and I don't propose a federal budget.

The president does.

4) You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations.

The House of Representatives does.

5) You and I don't write the tax code,

Congress does.

6) You and I don't set fiscal policy,

Congress does.

7) You and I don't control monetary policy,

the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy", "inflation", or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people and they alone, are responsible.

They and they alone, have the power.

They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Journalism Takes another Hit

It is becoming clear that the American media is biased, prejudiced, and, therefore, worthless for reporting the news. Which is a really sad fact to digest. One of the things that has set our country aside from others has been our freedom of the press to report the actions of our government. This has allowed us to keep an eye on how our elected officials are behaving or misbehaving.

However, the American people have lost our "third estate" since the media has swung into full support of the Democrat party in general and specifically president Obama. Their pandering during the election was embarrassing, and they have done little to correct their faults since getting their candidate elected.

In fact, they have embarrassed themselves even further as they have had to blatantly ignore their president's gaffs, lies, and failures. The latest example of their unprofessional bias, though, is truly amazing.

To see formerly respected media gleefully attacking a non-elected spokes person because she used speech notes, while excusing their president's constant use of expensive (tax-payer-sponsored) teleprompters is ... well it's just stupid on their part. They have blindly defended their candidate's need for technological assistance to keep from making fools of himself and his media fans, yet when Sarah Palin used a common speech prompt - writing point notes on her hand, they attacked and called her everything from incompetent to dishonest.

The American media has apparently run out of legitimate issues to report, such as the economic mess their president has only made much worse, or his efforts to socialize corporations and the banking industries. Their fear of competition for their political machine is so obvious they must not fear the American public's ridicule or judgment.

Shame on you. Bad journalists, bad, bad journalists!

Obama Admin Encourages Moms to Kill Babies

Catholic League president Bill Donohue speaks to the Omnibus Spending Bill just passed by the Senate:

The Congress is now officially on record approving a bill that tells mothers in Washington, D.C. that if they decide to take their baby to term, and elect to send their child to a private school—just like the one that President Obama and his wife have chosen for their own children—they can do it on their own dime: the successful voucher scholarship program that 1,700 poor kids were enrolled in is now dead. But if these same mothers decide to abort their babies, the same government will rush to pay their bills.

Most of those affected are black. The bill will soon be signed into law by America’s first black president. Is there anyone so stupid not to understand what is going on?

Obamas UnAmerican - Again!

Duly elected by the lunatic fringe left, declared friend to Islamic nations, proclaimer that America is no longer a Christian nation -in his opinion, President B. Hussein Obama has once again stepped forward to deny the traditions that define America. In his march to change America from the greatest nation on Earth, Hussein is now messing with America's favorite holiday. From the Catholic League, comes the announcement that:

OBAMAS WOULD LIKE TO NEUTER CHRISTMAS

In yesterday’s New York Times, there was an article about White House social secretary Desirée Rogers. In it, reporter Sheryl Gay Stolberg wrote: “When former social secretaries gave a luncheon to welcome Ms. Rogers earlier this year, one participant said, she surprised them by suggesting the Obamas were planning a ‘non-religious Christmas….’”

This same participant said that “the Obamas did not intend to put the manger scene on display” (this was confirmed by the White House). Indeed, as Stolberg wrote, “there had been internal discussions about making Christmas more inclusive and whether to display the crèche.”

Catholic League president Bill Donohue addressed this issue today:

Unlike almost all Americans—including atheists—the Obamas do not give their children Christmas gifts. We know this because Barack bragged about this last year to People magazine. So it should come as no big surprise that he and his wife would like to neuter Christmas in the White House. That’s their natural step—to ban the public display of Christian symbols. Have any doubts? Last April, Georgetown University was ordered to put a drape over the name of Jesus as a condition of the president speaking there.

If the Obamas want to deprive their children of celebrating Christmas, that is their business. It is the business of the public to hold them accountable for the way they celebrate Christmas in the White House. We know one thing for sure: no other administration ever entertained internal discussions on whether to display a nativity scene in the White House.

President Obama's "Controversial" Bow To Japan's Emperor

This is another sign of an inexperienced, culturally ignorant (of American culture, that is), person who should not be representing America! Where ever you might believe this guy was born, you've still gotta admit he does not act like an American, much less an American President. He bows to Arabians and former war enemies, but snubs the Queen of England. He' has his own values and agenda, and they are not the same as America's!
Bad president! Bad Bad President.

Why are Politicians So Thick-Headed?

A few days ago I sent the following to my state's elected US elected servants:
As a voter and a constituent speaking to my duly elected public servant, my instructions to you are:

DO NOT SUPPORT THE OBAMA HEALTHCARE BILL

end of instructions.

your immediate and continued compliance is expected.

your public.
---------
Honestly, I thought that was pretty understandable. But I underestimated the dumb-ness of people in politics.

Today I received this:
Thank you for contacting me regarding health care reform. I appreciate hearing from you.

There are two committees in the United States Senate that have jurisdiction over health care reform. The first committee of jurisdiction is the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee (HELP). On July 15, 2009, the Senate HELP Committee completed work on S. 1679, the Affordable Health Choices Act. The second committee of jurisdiction is the Senate Committee on Finance. On October 13, 2009, the Finance Committee completed work on their version of a health care reform bill called the America's Healthy Future Act. At this time, I am reviewing both proposals and listening carefully to the concerns of constituents.

I am committed to working in the Senate to address the rising cost of health care, and it is critical that Congress work to get health care spending under control. As you know, there are many proposals which are intended to make healthcare coverage more affordable for all Americans. Many of these proposals use different approaches to expand coverage and hold down costs. Some plans involve the use of tax incentives for small businesses and individual Americans. Proposals to hold down costs include switching from paper to electronic medical records to streamline the administrative process, banning health care coverage discrimination, chronic disease management, negotiating prescription drug costs and increasing access to generic prescription drugs.

Perhaps the biggest driver of increasing health care costs is having 46 million Americans who don't have health coverage. Too often these individuals go without important preventative care, and when the health problems of these uninsured get bad enough, they seek care in the most expensive place to get it and the only place it is available to them - in an emergency room. Everyone who has health insurance or pays the hospital for treatment helps pay for the hospital's burden of providing uncompensated care to the uninsured. At the same time, many individuals and employers struggle to pay the rapidly rising premiums charged for health coverage.

I supported the expansion of the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) in Congress because I believe that providing health care coverage for low-income children and children of working families is a step in the right direction to combating the health care crisis. After securing health insurance coverage for these children, I hope that Congress can work to solve the problems facing health insurance coverage affordability for employees of small businesses and for all Americans that do not have affordable access to health care.

Thank you for contacting me about this issue. I welcome your input. Please do not hesitate to contact me or my office about this or any matter of concern to you.
Obviously, he's thinking far too much and representing my preferences far too little. This guy has never had anything to do with following orders, in the military, a corporation, or in a marriage!

Being the patient person I am, I replied as follows, in an attempt to help this person understand my request:
Dear Elected representative, Senator Pryor:

Obviously I was not clear enough in my first email, based on your clouded reply. Let me make it clearer:

DO
NOT
SUPPORT
ANY
GOVERNMENT
HEALTHCARE
PROGRAM
PROPOSED
BY
THE
OBAMA
ADMINISTRATION.

We do not need a 2000-plus page law regarding how to provide health care for our citizens. That is STUPID.

You are hereby directed to stand against any such program. As my elected representative, I expect you to abide by my instructions.

To repeat:

DO
NOT
SUPPORT
ANY
GOVERNMENT
HEALTHCARE
PROGRAM
PROPOSED
BY
THE
OBAMA
ADMINISTRATION.

Your response of compliance to this directive is expected.

Sincerely,

[my name]

Wanna guess whether he got it yet or not?
I'll let you know ...

Scary Horror Story in Congress!

(from a friend who is also concerned about the future of America ...)

An interesting analysis and something to think about.

Perhaps The Problem Is Identified…

This is very interesting! I never thought about it this way.

The Democratic Party has become the Lawyers’ Party.
  • Barack Obama is a lawyer.
  • Michelle Obama is a lawyer.
  • Hillary Clinton is a lawyer.
  • Bill Clinton is a lawyer.
  • John Edwards is a lawyer.
  • Elizabeth Edwards is a lawyer.
  • Every Democrat nominee since 1984 went to law school (although Gore did not graduate).
  • Every Democrat vice presidential nominee since 1976, except for Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school.
Look at leaders of the Democrat Party in Congress:
  • Harry Reid is a lawyer.
  • Nancy Pelosi is a lawyer.

The Republican Party is different.
  • President Bush is a businessman.
  • Vice President Cheney is a businessman.
The leaders of the Republican Revolution:
  • Newt Gingrich was a history professor.
  • Tom Delay was an exterminator.
  • Dick Armey was an economist.
  • House Minority Leader Boehner was a plastic manufacturer.
  • The former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is a heart surgeon.
Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer?
  • Gerald Ford, who left office 31 years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976.
The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work, who are often the targets of lawyers.

The Democrat Party is made up of lawyers.

Democrats mock and scorn men who create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or those who heal the sick, like Frist, or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich.

The Lawyers’ Party sees these sorts of people, who provide goods and services that people want, as the enemies of America. And, so we have seen the procession of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers’ Party, grow.

Against whom do Hillary and Obama rail? Pharmaceutical companies, oil companies, hospitals, manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value in our nation.

This is the natural consequence of viewing everything through the eyes of lawyers.

Lawyers solve problems by successfully representing their clients, in this case the American people.

Lawyers seek to have new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always parse language to favor their side.
Confined to the narrow practice of law, that is fine. But it is an awful way to govern a great nation.

When politicians as lawyers begin to view some Americans as clients and other Americans as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system in our life becomes all-consuming.

Some Americans become “adverse parties” of our very government.

We are not all litigants in some vast social class-action suit.

We are citizens of a republic that promises us a great deal of freedom from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.

Today, we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by judicial decisions; we are driven to distraction by omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once private lives.

America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked.

When the most important decision for our next president is whom he will appoint to the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the law in America is too big.

When lawyers use criminal prosecution as a continuation of politics by other means, as happened in the lynching of Scooter Libby and Tom Delay, then the power of lawyers in America is too great.
When House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the role of litigation in America has become crushing.

We cannot expect the Lawyers’ Party to provide real change or real hope in America

Most Americans know that a republic in which every major government action must be blessed by nine unelected judges is not what Washington intended in 1789.

Most Americans grasp that we cannot fight a war when ACLU lawsuits snap at the heels of our defenders.

Most Americans intuit that more lawyers and judges will not restore declining moral values or spark the spirit of enterprise in our economy.

Perhaps Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and business.

Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work.

Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more power will only make our problems worse.

The United States has 5% of the world’s population and 66% of the world’s lawyers!

Tort (Legal) reform legislation has been introduced in congress several times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous lawsuits such as “spilling hot coffee on yourself and suing the establishment that sold it to you” and also to limit punitive damages in huge medical malpractice lawsuits.

This legislation has continually been blocked from even being voted on by the Democrat (Lawyers) Party.

When you see that 97% of the political contributions from the American Trial Lawyers Association goes to the Democrat (Lawyers) Party, then you realize who is responsible for our medical and product costs being so high!

What would a lawyers’s legislation look like? Maybe like this ...

The House health care bill unveiled Thursday clocks in at 1,990 pages and about 400,000 words. In contrast, the Jewish Torah has about 80,000 words. With an estimated 10-year Federal cost (which means the money comes out of our pockets in the form of taxes) of $894 billion, that comes out to about $2.24 million per word. Of course we know Congress always estimates things conservatively…cough, cough… so you might want to add a couple of hundred thousand per word just to be safe. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the actual adjusted cost at closer to $1.055 Trillion dollars (that’s $1,055,000,000,000.00), though everyone knows they’re just a bunch of party-poopers.

Here is a brief example of its content:

“(a) Outpatient Hospitals – (1) In General – Section 1833(t)(3)(C)(iv) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395(t)(3)(C)(iv)) is amended – (A) in the first sentence – (i) by inserting “(which is subject to the productivity adjustment described in subclause (II) of such section)” after “1886(b)(3)(B)(iii); and (ii) by inserting “(but not below 0)” after “reduced”; and (B) in the second sentence, by inserting “and which is subject, beginning with 2010 to the productivity adjustment described in section 1886(b)(3)(B)(iii)(II)”.

Translation - The section deals with “incorporating productivity improvements into market basket updates that do not already incorporate such improvements,” if that helps.

If you can understand what any of that means, please call your Senator and Representative and explain it to them; the honest ones admit that they don’t understand much, if any, of most bills coming out of this Congress.

Reality Check! Rep. Joe Barton, a Texan, said “the bill is about four reams of paper that add up to the American public getting reamed.” Not a nice description, but then it's not a very nice bill, either.

If this bothers you at all, copy it and share it. Or point them to this blog and let them decide for themselves if we've found the problem.

Joe Legal vs. Jose Illegal

You have 2 families...

"Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal". Both families have 2 parents, 2 children and live in California .

"Joe Legal" works in construction, has a Social Security Number, and makes $25.00 per hour
with payroll taxes deducted.

"Jose Illegal" also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number,
and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Joe Legal... $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week = $52,000 per year.
Now take 30% away for state and federal tax. Joe Legal now has $31,231.00.

Jose Illegal... $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week = $31,200.00 per year.
Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays for Medical and Dental Insurance with limited coverage ... $1000.00 per month = $12,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $19,231.00.

Jose Illegal has full Medical and Dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of
$0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal makes too much money to be eligible for Food Stamps or Welfare so Joe Legal pays for food... $1,000.00 per month = $12,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $7,231.00.

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for Food Stamps and Welfare.
Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,000.00 per month = $12,000.00 per year.
Joe Legal is now in the hole -$4,769.00.

Jose Illegal receives a $500 per month Federal rent subsidy, which entirely pays his rent of $500.00 per month = $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays and gets a part time job after work to make ends meet.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school.

Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches while
Jose Illegal's children get free government sponsored lunches.

Joe Legal's children go home after school.
Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program which, again, is provided free of charge.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same Police and Fire Services,
but Joe Legal paid for them and Jose Illegal did not pay.

The reason congressmen try so hard to get re-elected is that
they would hate to have to live under the laws they've passed.

Response to Wilson's Rude Shout

When South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson rudely yelled out,
"You lie,"
to the President of the United States, I was so embarrassed!

I thought,
"Hey, why couldn't that have been our congressmen!?"

What a let down, you're both still dogging behind BHO.

We're thinking to moving to a real American state - South Carolina!

Get a clue or get out of OUR office!

BOO!

I’m Moving To Mexico

Dear Mr. President, Senate and House of Representatives:

I'm planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me.

We're planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements.

We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here.

So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Calderon, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
  1. Free medical care for my entire family.
  2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
  3. All Mexico government forms need to also be printed in English.
  4. I want my kids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.
  5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.
  6. I want my kids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.
  7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
  8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.
  9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but, I don't plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won't make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.
  10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.
  11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put U S. flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
  12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.
  13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say a critical things about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.
I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all his people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that President Calderon won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

Thank you so much for your kind help.

Sincerely,
U.S. Citizen & Taxpayer

Now it's Michele Turn to Spend

(Hey, weren't these the same group of people who were whining about Sarah Palin's borrowed fancy campaigning duds? Can you say "hypocrite"?)

"In my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much," she said. "See, that's why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service." Michelle Obama

First Lady requires more than 20 attendants

No, Michele Obama does not get paid to serve as the First Lady and she doesn't perform any official duties. But this hasn't deterred her from hiring an unprecedented number of staffers to cater to her every whim and to satisfy her every request in the midst of the Great Recession.

Just think Mary Lincoln was taken to task for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. And Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salary for her personal secretary.

How things have changed! If you're one of the tens of millions of Americans facing certain destitution, earning less than subsistence wages stocking the shelves at Wal-Mart or serving up McDonald cheeseburgers, prepare to scream and then come to realize that the benefit package for these servants of Miz Michelle are the same as members of the national security and defense departments and the bill for these assorted lackeys is paid by John Q. Public:

1. $172,200 - Sher, Susan (Chief Of Staff)

2. $140,000 - Frye, Jocelyn C. (Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Policy And Projects For The First Lady)

3. $113,000 - Rogers, Desiree G. (Special Assistant to the President and White House Social Secretary)

4. $102,000 - Johnston, Camille Y. (Special Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the First Lady)

5. Winter, Melissa E. (Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)

6. $90,000 - Medina , David S. (Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)

7. $84,000 - Lelyveld, Catherine M. (Director and Press Secretary to the First Lady)

8. $75,000 - Starkey, Frances M. (Director of Scheduling and Advance for the First Lady)

9. $70,000 - Sanders, Trooper (Deputy Director of Policy and Projects for the First Lady)

10. $65,000 - Burnough, Erinn J. (Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary)

11. Reinstein, Joseph B. (Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary)

12. $62,000 - Goodman, Jennifer R. (Deputy Director of Scheduling and Events Coordinator For The First Lady)

13. $60,000 - Fitts, Alan O. (Deputy Director of Advance and Trip Director for the First Lady)

14. Lewis, Dana M. (Special Assistant and Personal Aide to the First Lady)

15. $52,500 - Mustaphi, Semonti M. (Associate Director and Deputy Press Secretary To The First Lady)

16. $50,000 - Jarvis, Kristen E. (Special Assistant for Scheduling and Traveling Aide To The First Lady)

17. $45,000 - Lechtenberg, Tyler A. (Associate Director of Correspondence For The First Lady)

18. Tubman, Samantha (Deputy Associate Director, Social Office)

19. $40,000 - Boswell, Joseph J. (Executive Assistant to the Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)

20. $36,000 - Armbruster, Sally M. (Staff Assistant to the Social Secretary)

21. Bookey, Natalie (Staff Assistant)

22. Jackson, Deilia A. (Deputy Associate Director of Correspondence for the First Lady)

There has never been anyone in the White House at any time that has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life.

One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary, only had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President's own pocket.

Note: This does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and "First Hairstylist" Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom travelled aboard Air Force One to Europe .
